30 years and counting! Once more, we open the doors to our studios; how nice to see you in person after our COVID hiatus.
What attracted me at first was a space Jerry Beck had at 215 A Street, on the sixth floor.
The space was not very big, but at $ 300 per month, and with a private bathroom, two large walls lit up by a high beautiful skylight, and no heat, it was perfect!!
A block away, S.B.I. Sales — a fully-stocked professional photo supplier — and one more block further, Spectrum color labs — a most reliable lab to process film in 3 hours, almost around the clock: a real photographer’s paradise!
I became friends and interacted with a great group of artists and artisans who called Fort Point home during the last 30 years.
Since 1992, I have been at my current location, at 249 A Street, in a 3rd. floor studio, where I create most of my work.
